Where can I find websites of amateur musicians

Online services

At sc it's actually about being able to share the production process of a song with others or to be part of it. That is why you can comment there to the second.
Unfortunately, in my opinion, this does not really come into its own because most of the people upload more finished things.

Otherwise you can get really addicted to new music and new artists there. ;)

myownmusic.de is really the worst of these platforms.
The old operator pulled the shop up against the wall. Sonic Media was not able to get the extremists up to Nazi users under control. 100derte resigned and what is there now is so horrible .. that you can hardly believe it.

http://www.openpot.com is also interesting. There, as an artist, you get a share of the advertising revenue. There are also some nice features to customize the profile page.

... and then there is justaloud.com. funzt like Amie Street. The first downloads are free, then they get more and more expensive the more often a song is downloaded.

    And don't forget: myownmusic.de.

  • Marc Shake Nov 08, 2009 00:06 AM Answers

Yes, Myownmusic just came to my mind too. Many of the hottest techno and handsup freaks come from there. Back then it was still called GTMusic :) Also a tracker thing. Hachja, * oldschool * :)

I have my songs on http://www.bandcamp.com - but that's more like a private iTunes. Register and upload songs, make downloads available for free or sell.

  • Reenstrømen 09 Nov 2009 11:28 am Answers

How many portals there are ... that's crazy ... 0o

  • Marc Shake Nov 09, 2009 12:16 pm Answers

I still have older things on virb.com, they also have a kind of Last.fm scrobbler for itunes. Then there's Track4.de. For people who are in the so-called demo scene, CTGMusic is still interesting.

Traxinspace is a portal that emerged from the tracker scene similar to myownmusic, but now serves all possible styles. If you want to put your music under a CreativeCommons license and also want to attract remixers, you should take a closer look at CCMixter.

Anyway: CCMixter also offers fine acapellas. Of course, the material that is created on the basis of the Acapellas must also be published again under a CC license

I just checked out http://bandcamp.com. Great at first and second glance. It can start without any frills, I'm already uploading my first free album. After a long search I finally found something where I can upload my free albums and where you can download them in first-class quality.

Everything at first glance logical, tidy and easy to understand despite the English language.

    Thanks for the tip!

That would also be a great tip for the podcast!

    why does nobody write facebook?

  • derek Dec 19, 2009 8:09 pm Answers

Because, not only in my opinion, facebook is absolutely unsuitable and annoying for people who make music. I have an account there but it is down because I am not able to see through the whole thing and to prevent everything that the page throws at me there. I will no longer use my account there and advise everyone to create an account from there. Mass isn't always great and I don't need "Heitschibumbeitschi-Who wants to be my friend on Facebook" either.

    • Amos Stoklasek Feb 04, 2015 2:38 pm Answers

I deleted my Facebook account because I can start with 0.
      1. I can't call myself like cih as an artist Hot, I wanted to be Amos Stoklasek !!! name but no exclamation marks are allowed.
      2. There you will be trashed the whole time with something that has posted against someone .......

I used to be on Facebook until I realized that Facebook wasn't getting that much more attention. And most annoyingly the friendship inquiries. You should always confirm the friend requests. And if you don't hang out on Facebook all the time and chat, you can't even tell people what you hear yourself. Listen and then just listen to the one song that you liked best at the beginning. And that Neure somehow doesn't get that much attention anymore.

You only need Facebook to get started, then you can delete your account again.

I am very satisfied with Last.fm. You can also claim your own music (or your own artist page) there and then add nice features.

You have the option of making your songs available for the Last.fm radio program, which can attract new listeners.

I see a lot of potential there for the future.

    Hello ,

I wanted to say that on 99vips you can upload your music directly to the download area of a well-visited music site after a short registration. You can copy your videos from Youtube directly to the homepage and receive other promotions for your music.

Note d. Red .: Link removed, as the homepage mainly consists of advertising.

SoundClick.com is also an alternative ... but I don't find it really great now, there are some nice features built in, but the site looks rather boring at second glance (I think) - is written in English - but has its visitor numbers;)

I would like to say at this point that there are not only 2 or 3 portals more ..., I myself have access to around 385 band portals with my music. that is certainly a bit much, since you can't look after all of them at the same time, but in 2009 I made the effort. Of course I cannot list all portals here, that would go beyond the scope :-)

You can also upload your own music for free on groovecloud.de and then share it with others, for example via Facebook, Twitter and Co. Still new and open to suggestions!

Thanks man, you reminded me what the portal is called!

Hearthis.at are relatively new. They do everything that soundcloud and mixcloud do and an interview with the team can be found on trancefish.de.

MyownMusic is probably the worst address for musicians.
Once so praised that it was a portal where only NON-professionals presented their music, there are more and more professionals who don't give Newcomers a chance. If someone makes a good song, the professionals will come and make a song with them. That of course pushes this artist up the charts. Until you are not so good, you stay down forever. The committed society awards each other the placements. Furthermore, the handling in this portal is under all s ... hostility, slander and the whole
Range of nasties are the order of the day. Since the owner has changed everything is only piecemeal and botchy. So this portal is really no longer a recommendation.

Or you can simply post links to your songs in forums, discussions or music articles. Ask people what they think of your sound and be active so that the thread is listed as long as possible. There are even people who ask on gutefrage.net whether their song "linkzusongXY" has hit potential!

Or you can do it like me and use this article to draw attention to your music:

    Best regards!

Musicians can create their own profile at http://www.mystage.fm and then upload their music. Various features should also support the musicians growing up.

    Orfium.com is brand new
My band The J Conspiracy has some information about this on their homepage: www.thejconspiracy.net
We also call for the big Orfium test there. Have a look and take part.

So I had a lot of songs and albums in mp3 format on different platforms, including soundawesome.com, which unfortunately no longer exist this month for internal reasons. the nice thing was there was a chart list of songs that were chosen by registered users and a palylist of the most played songs of the week. before that i was at myspace. also have accoutns by myownmusic (which I delete again) and reverbnation. reverbnation is suitable for artists who have short songs.
I sell my things through Bandcamp.com the reasons are the fan (buyer) gets the files in a good format; can choose from eight different formats including wav, aiff, flac, alac ogg and others, the payment is also very serious for freeaccounts, aurovine is a similar platform, the bandcamp is very similar, but I often had troubles with the upload. CD-baby, however, offers free uploads to which you can sell, but only in mp3. Like other platforms, you have to pay extra for the release of an album or songs.
Basically, I'm looking for a site right now, where you can maybe put a short band bio and introduce your music to people you meet in real life on the net. if someone has an idea..imemr bring it to me

I had very good experiences with the dreammy.org portal. This platform, which is based in Italy, has been my personal favorite since the beginning of 2016, as I have never received such rapid and continuous response to my music from many countries around the world in any other portal.

  • Valeria Rizak Mar 12, 2018 11:58 PM

Didldu music, highly recommended, especially if it should be royalty-free.
PS: The article should really be supplemented.

Clyp.it is missing! Here you can upload without an account! Will be kept for 24 hours! Very interesting when producers want to exchange samples with each other!
