Advantages of the new training and examination structure

This website is the result of a project that was completed in August 2009. The contents reflect the status at the end of the project.

One advantage of the reorganized examination structure is that the success of the training does not depend exclusively on the final examination at the end of the training period, as was previously the case. The new final exam part 1 of the extended exam is already included in the overall result and thus distributes the exam pressure more evenly over the entire training period. With the new part 1 of the final exam, the candidate is already familiar with the exam situation at the time of part 2, which is an advantage for many trainees.

It should therefore be practiced for the final examination part 1 in the training as soon as the probationary period has been passed, as this is now included in the overall grade. It makes sense if the examinee also realizes device handovers, commissioning or small presentations (process qualifications) during his entire training period within the training company. These activities are particularly important in the new final exams. (See also: "What is meant by 'process qualification'?")

The reorganized exam structure is a integrative examination structure. The learning content and exam content are more closely intertwined in line with day-to-day operations. The previous examination structure was linear, and the examination and learning content followed a predetermined procedure.

With the new, integrative examination structure, the learning content can be more closely aligned with the operational requirements and thus meet the needs of the training companies.
