Change in VAT for Sharp cash registers XE-A177 / 207

Please note that the following information relates to the reprogramming of the VAT groups in general and does not claim to be complete or correct.
Regarding the current discussion on the change in VAT and the associated implementation in the retail and catering sector, we are unfortunately unable to provide advice.

The following function keys are required for reprogramming. The keys have been renamed for cash registers that have been programmed by us in advance!

Before starting the reprogramming, the assignment of the VAT groups must be called up in order to determine which text fields and VAT rates need to be changed!

Creating a printout for models XE-A177 / XE-A207:

These instructions apply to TSE registers that you received from us from January 2020.


IMPORTANT:
Older Sharp registers have an outdated software version and can therefore vary in the text fields and VAT rates.


 

Sequence for calling up the VAT rates:

  • Press the Mode button
  • with the arrow key to point 6 PGM mode
  • Press cash
  • Enter password (registers programmed by us have a password / identical to the end of the day)
  • Press cash
  • Point 1 "retrieval"
  • Press cash
  • with the arrow key on point 5 "Function text"
  • Press cash
    => now you will get a printout (see example 1)
  • with the arrow key then on point 14 "VAT"
  • Press cash
    => now you get another printout (see example 2)

 

When the printout is done, you can return by pressing the "Cancel" button several times.

Important NOTE:

If you have indicated "0%" for VAT 3 on the printout of the VAT groups (example 2) at your Sharp checkouts with certified TSE (delivery by us January to approx. March 2020) AND you are selling items with 0% VAT, contact us Please contact us as your cash register needs an additional update.
However, this update is only required if you sell items with 0% VAT!

 

 

 

 

 

In principle, all electronic cash registers must have a certified technical security device (TSE) to protect against manipulation of basic digital records since January 1st, 2020. Under certain conditions and depending on the federal state, the legislature sometimes grants a transition period until March 30, 2021 at the latest. If necessary, please contact your tax advisor or the responsible tax office for more information.

Reprogramming Sharp POS models XE-A177 / XE-A207:

 

  • Press the "Mode" button
  • with the arrow key to point 6 "PGM mode"
  • Press cash
  • Enter password (registers programmed by us have a password / identical to the end of the day)
  • Press cash
  • with the arrow key to point 2 "Settings"
  • Press cash
  • with the arrow key on item 12 "VAT" (to change the VAT rate)
  • Press cash
  • with the arrow key on point 2 "VAT 1"
  • Press cash
  • Enter VAT rate e.g. for 19% only enter 19 (without point - i.e. Not 19.00)
  • * VAT expression point 14 note which VAT is on 1 or 2
  • Press cash
  • with the arrow key on point 3 "VAT 2"
  • Press cash
  • Enter VAT rate e.g. for 7% only enter 7 (without a point - i.e. Not 7.00)
  • * VAT expression point 14 note which VAT is on 1 or 2
  • Press cash
  • Press the "Cancel" button once to return to the menu selection


 

  • with the arrow key on point 4 "Function text" (to change the text fields)
  • Press cash
  • with the arrow key on point 3 "VAT 1 ZWS"
    (Repeat with the text fields 4/7/8/55/56)
  • * VAT printout point 5, function texts, note which numbers have to be changed
  • Press cash
  • Press the "Accounting menu" key so that the cursor jumps into the text field
  • Press the "Function menu" key until the cursor is on the 6 stands
  • Press the "€ Discount" button to delete the number
  • Press the "X Text" key twice to switch the keyboard to numbers (in display A and now 1)
  • The number 9 press so that the correct VAT rate is displayed
  • Press cash

 

When all 6 text fields have been changed, press the "Cancel" button several times to exit the menu.
